Structural Movement Assessment & Rehab
Have you been dealing with persistent pain that never fully goes away and keeps returning? Many chronic aches and injuries aren't caused by the area that hurts—they're the result of the body developing compensations over time.
Claire's sessions combine detailed movement assessment, joint and tissue evaluation, rehabilitation principles developed through to identify the underlying cause of dysfunctional movement. Rather than simply treating symptoms, she evaluates how your muscles, joints, connective tissues, and entire kinetic chain are working together to determine where coordination and motor control have been lost.
Once the source of the dysfunction has been identified, you'll receive a small number of highly targeted home exercises designed to restore tissue function, improve joint mechanics, and rebuild efficient movement patterns. As your body regains proper coordination and stability, movement becomes easier, and become pain-free. Hyper-mobility and Ehlers Danlos aware. Claire assesses thru the Neurokinetic Therapy and Immaculate Dissection assessments and protocols

Interactive and Functional Nutritionist
Rising Lotus Yoga offers nutritional coaching through Melissa Gordon. Melissa is a nutritionist who is passionate about empowering people to take control of their health by making simple (though not always easy) modifications in diet and lifestyle. Her practice is anchored in the belief that given the right conditions the human body has an innate ability to heal itself.
Thus, she sees her role as a facilitator in discovering root causes of symptoms, an educator, and a collaborative problem solver. Melissa discovered the power of nutrition and lifestyle when, through the guidance of an integrative medical practitioner, she was able to put her own autoimmune disease into remission.
This profound experience sparked in her a desire to understand the science behind her healing so that she might be able to help others with similar struggles. She holds a Master of Science degree in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. On a personal note, she is a self-proclaimed foodie and lover of all things food-related.
When not cooking or searching for new, quick and easy, healthy, and delicious recipes, she enjoys the meditative practice of yoga, curling up with a good book, spending me out in nature, or taking her dog, Daisy, for long walks.
Answer the questions below to be matched to your practitioner
At our practice, we specialize in alleviating pain and restoring your joy and ease of movement. Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) is a technique that focuses on neural movement skills.
Q: What is neural strength compared to building muscle strength?
A: You will not be able to build more muscle strength until your brain can effectively activate a muscle group in the correct sequence for a particular movement.
Neural strength refers to your brain's ability to engage the appropriate muscles in the correct order while performing a specific movement. When this is not functioning correctly this is often referred to as a compensation pattern. Compensation patterns can come from injury, trauma or poor movement habits.
Using the NKT protocol, we identify these patterns and work to reverse them, restoring them to their proper movement patterns. This process relieves movement pain and helps you regain strength and functionality. Additionally, completing short homework exercises, which only take about ten minutes each time, is a vital component of this method.
